The conference venue Mainport is a combination of a four and five star hotel under one roof, right in the city center of Rotterdam. It is located on the banks of the river Maas with sweeping views over the water and skyline of Rotterdam, often referred to as Manhattan on the Maas. The shopping area, most museums, restaurants and cafes, as well as local attractions are within walking distance.
At the conference venue Mainport a block of rooms will be reserved for conference attendees at a special rate. Rates start at €130 and vary according to room amenities. A special online booking tool will enable attendees to easily book the rooms. Wireless Internet services, an indoor pool and exercise rooms are complementary.
A variety of accomodation options
Rotterdam offers a wide range of hotels varying from basic to luxurious accommodations. For instance, graduate students could stay at a unique location (the world famous Cube Houses; Stayokay Hostel with occupancy of 245 persons) for only €25, including breakfast. Other hostels are nearby the venue (e.g., Backpackers Hostel: 84 persons).
